The Rev. Sarah Brockenbrough
As Transition Minister, the Rev. Sarah Brockenbrough manages and oversees the deployment and transition process for clergy and congregations to ensure a faithful and successful process of calling clergy to new cures in the diocese. She also assists clergy as they discern whether God is calling them to a new opportunity to serve, within the Diocese of Virginia or beyond.
Most recently, Sarah served the congregation of Emmanuel, Greenwood. She also served at Bruton Parish in Williamsburg, and as a member of the lay staff at Christ Church, Savannah, Ga.
Sarah is passionate about discovering God's call to new life in the midst of change and is eager to support congregations as they renew themselves as sacred centers of inspiration, strength and peace.
A native of Savannah, Sarah holds degrees from Vanderbilt University, the University of Georgia, and Virginia Theological Seminary. Her earlier work was in the field of community and economic development.
