Early Music ensemble Washington’s Camerata will perform in concert on Sunday, September 19 at 3:00 pm at St. George’s Episcopal Church as part of the church’s Chamber Concert Series. In honor of St. George’s 300th Anniversary Celebrations, music selections will be from the 1720s and include works by Vivaldi, Bach, Loeillet, Barsanti, and Braun for the violincello, traverso, and harpsichord.

Established in 2009, Washington’s Camerata, is a period instrument ensemble dedicated to the music of the 17th and 18th centuries. Founding flutists Dr. Kelly Kazik and Sarah McIver achieve innovative programming through the ensemble’s unique instrumentation to bring charming and rarely heard music back to life.

Located at 905 Princess Anne Street in historic downtown Fredericksburg, Virginia, St. George’s Episcopal Church offers a wide range of concerts throughout the year featuring local and out of town musicians. The nave’s lush acoustics provide the perfect backdrop for “beautiful music in a beautiful space”.

The concert is free with donations accepted at the door. Masks are required for all visitors – vaccinated or unvaccinated – over the age of 2.
