Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Education for Virginia
REVIVE! is Virginia’s Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Education Program that trains lay resuers to safely and effectively administer Naloxone (Narcan) to an individual experiencing an opioid overdose emergency. Naloxone is an opioid reversal medication that can prevent an overdose emergency turning into an overdose death. Naloxone is safe, effective and easy to administer. The REVIVE! program seeks to increase the availability and effective use of Naloxone by training lay rescuers throughout our communities.
The Diocesan Addiction and Recovery Team will be offering this valuable training on Thursday November 14 2:30 – 4:00 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott. This training will take approximately 90 minutes and is limited to 25 participants. You can register for REVIVE! training by completing the registration form by Tuesday November 12.
Altar Guild Swap Meet and Linen Drive
Now is the time to declutter your sacristy. Swap your unused/unwanted sacristy items (linens, candles, metal ware, vestments, stoles, etc.) with churches around the Diocese. Items may be dropped off on Thursday evening November 14. The swap will take place on November 15, during Annual Convention. We will also be collecting purificators and corporals for Shrine Mont. View the flyer.
If you plan to participate, have questions about items to swap or want additional information, contact Sharon Nachman.
