Amy has served as assistant to Bishop Johnston since 2010. She manages his calendar, email, and correspondence and also creates the visitation schedule for all of the bishops. Amy oversees the processing of all clergy licensing and canonical transfers and lay license applications. Amy earned a B.A. in international relations from Virginia Tech and a M.A. in political science from North Carolina State University. Before joining the diocesan staff, she worked for several years as a litigation paralegal at two law firms and a corporate legal department. She has two children, Jackson and Kathryn, and enjoys volunteering at their school and DIY projects.
