Planned giving is a ministry of faith in action and should be an integral part of your church’s life. As clergy and lay leaders of your congregation, you can help members of your church respond in a faithful way as Christian stewards. Establishing a planned giving program for your congregations assists them in making sound financial plans that take into account their own needs and those of their family, honoring their generosity to your church and their life in Christ.
Included are short notes you can insert into your bulletins on planned giving. Additional topics will be added throughout the year.
The planned giving resources are for congregations to use to build your own planned giving program. Check back regularly for additional resources throughout the year and be sure to tailor these to your own context and church culture.
We’re excited to share resources we’ve prepared in order to help you sow the seeds and prepare the soil for planned giving conversations in your congregation. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Stephanie Gurnsey Higgins, Minister for Diocesan Development and Giving, firstname.lastname@example.org or 800-DIOCESE X1031.
