Curator for Lifelong Learning

10-15 hours/week

Located in the Diocese of Virginia

The Diocese of Virginia seeks an individual to curate and share resources for Lifelong Learning with the people, congregations and parishes of the diocese. This person will be primarily responsible for the creation and ongoing administration of the Christian Formation website, and all social media outlets. They will provide excellent and ongoing communications to share and promote resources and best practices in the area of lifelong learning through webinars, infographics, articles, videos and beyond. This person will work with the office of Christian Formation and other diocesan entities to create seasonal offerings such as Advent or Lenten diocesan programming. Some weekend and travel work is expected, as this person will offer teaching sessions to congregations and diocesan gatherings throughout the year. Participation in provincial and national networks and continuing education are expected. This individual will serve as staff liaison and support to the Committee on Aging, and will work to stay updated (and communicate!) what’s happening in the area of lifelong formation on the parish, regional, diocesan and church wide levels.

The right person for this position is inspired, inwardly motivated and passionate about Christian Formation. Reading and excellent communication skills are required. This position reports to the Director of Christian Formation. The office location could be anywhere in the diocese of Virginia. This position can be combined with the Shrine Mont Camps Registrar position if applicable.
