Yesterday, Bishop Goff released a statement stating that we will not physically gather for worship in our church buildings for the next two weeks. Toward the end of the two weeks, we will assess the situation and adjust as necessary.
While we won't gather in our churches to worship these next two Sundays, God will be worshipped and praised. Churches are encouraged to try virtual worship options, which allow congregations to worship communally while physically separate, and provide devotional materials for individuals to worship at home.
We have created a COVID-19 Resource page where you can go to find the latest updates, best practices and resources for virtual worship. Resources are chosen that will assist churches of every size, and additional resources will be added as they become available.
St. Phoebe School for Deacons offers a virtual chapel, where individuals can gather for prayer and reflection.
We are the body of Christ. As a community and with God's help, we will do what these times require.
