St. George’s Chamber Orchestra and Choir to Perform in Concert at St. George’s

St. George’s Episcopal Church will host The St. George’s Chamber Orchestra on Sunday, February 25 at 3:00 pm as part of the church’s Concert Series. Selections for the concert will include: Beethoven - Quintet for Winds, Op. 71, Brahms - Schicksalslied (Song of Destiny) for choir and orchestra, Shumann – Traumerei arranged for strings, and Kazik – Concert Overture.

James Kazik, staff arranger at one of the premiere Washington D.C. service bands since 2001, will conduct the Chamber Orchestra. Kazik is a renowned composer and orchestrator, staff writer for Hal Leonard Corp, and the current composer-in-residence for the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic in Washington D.C.

“This promises to be a wonderful program of Romantic pieces,” noted Artistic Director John Vreeland. “St. George’s is happy to support fine arts in Fredericksburg.”
