e-Communiqué Submission Guidelines

We welcome your submission of items to the e-Communiqué, but regret that we cannot honor all requests to include certain events or announcements. Following please find some guidelines for submitting items to be considered for publication.

  • The purpose of the e-Communiqué is to provide timely information that is relevant to church leaders.
  • All items for e-Communiqué consideration should be submitted to echerry@thediocese.net.

Event Submission

  • If you would like an event included in the e-Communiqué, that event should be of interest to church leaders across the Diocese. Events that are exclusive to one parish or that do not have a leadership focus will not be included in the e-Communiqué, but may be included on the online diocesan calendar. You can submit an event to the calendar by sending the event to echerry@thediocese.net or by clicking on a calendar date here: http://www.thediocese.net/calendar/diocal.shtml. The e-Communiqué contains a link to this calendar.
  • Once accepted, your event description will be run in its entirety a total of three times prior to the date or application deadline of the event. If we receive the event description prior to that time, it will run in an abbreviated format in the “Save the Date” section of the e-Communiqué until three weeks prior to the event; then it will run in its full format.

Employment Notices

  • All employment notices should be sent to Lindsay Ryland at lryland@thediocese.net. Lindsay will see that the notices are posted on our deployment website. A link to this website is included in each issue of the e-Communiqué. Employment notices will not be published directly in the e-Communiqué.

Donations of Goods

  • If your church has items to donate, or your church is in need of some donated items, you may submit these items to be posted on our new Electronic Church Market website. Guidelines and directions for posting to this site can be found here: http://www.thediocese.net/News_services/ebazaar.shtml. Be sure to check this website regularly if your church is in need of donated goods, including appliances and furniture. You’ll find a link to the new website at the bottom of every issue of the e-Communiqué.
