Spotlight: Church Pension Group
This October 6th and 7th, the Diocese of Virginia will be the host for a Planning for Tomorrow Conference. This is a conference designed to educate clergy and spouses about retirement and estate planning.
This highly regarded conference is provided by the Church Pension Group, the pension fund manager for the Episcopal Church.
Established in 1914, the Church Pension Group is consistently ranked as one of the best managed pension funds in the country. While “CPG” does provide pension services, it provides a wide range of benefits not only for retired clergy, but also active clergy.
These benefits cover health and disability insurance to life and Long-term Care insurance products. Many benefits can extend to spouses and children and pension fund staff can explain the many options available to those with questions. With property insurance and publishing corporations, Church Insurance Company and Church Publishing, respectively, CPG provides Episcopal churches tremendous services for the safety of our property and for the thoughtful planning of church programs.
In an era of foundering pension plans, CPG continues to expand benefits to its beneficiaries. There is much more that CPG does in support of the many ministries of the Episcopal Church and the website, www.cpg.org can be of enormous help to leaders in all churches. |
