Assistant to the Priest in Charge (updated 1/23/12)

Aquia Episcopal Church (Stafford, Virginia) seeks to call a priest to serve in a permanent position with our priest-in-charge, who is eligible to become our rector in due time  A traditional parish, we are looking for a priest who can inspire us and draw others to follow Jesus Christ.  We want to strengthen our ministries in worship, Christian formation, fellowship, pastoral care, and outreach; we also intend to expand our ministries in evangelism and stewardship.  In addition, we hope to hire (if possible) someone with previous experience on a church staff and with a gift for youth ministry.

We can consider applications from those who will graduate from seminary in spring 2012 and be ordained to the priesthood or transitional diaconate around that time.
