Michael Kerr

Mike has been the Treasurer/CFO of the Diocese of Virginia since 1993. In addition to overseeing diocesan finances, insurance plans, and investment oversight for the Trustees of the Funds (the diocesan investment organization) and the Shrine Mont conference center, he works closely with clergy and vestries with human resources matters. He is also an officer of the Diocesan Missionary Society, the lending organization of the diocese. Mike has served on a number of Church Pension Group projects, including the development of the Church-wide payroll system.  He served as a director of both the Church Insurance Companies and Church Insurance Agency Corporation from 2002 to 2012, and is currently a member of the Episcopal Church Investment Committee. Mike and his family attend St. Mary’s, Goochland. Mike received a bachelor’s degree from the University of the South, an M.B.A. from the University of Richmond and is completing a certified financial planner designation. He enjoys movies, reading, and playing both soccer and golf.
