Emily Cherry

Emily joined the diocesan staff in 2006 to serve as Assistant for Communications, and is currently the Communications Officer. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where she received a bachelor’s degree in English. She worked previously as conference coordinator at the Core Knowledge Foundation, a non-profit education reform company in Charlottesville, before returning to her native city of Richmond to join the diocesan staff. Emily acts as editor of the bimonthly Virginia Episcopalian. Other communications projects include the weekly e-Communiqué newsletter; the Annual Council Journal; and maintaining the diocesan Web site. She also provides consultations and resources to churches.
