The Rt. Rev. Shannon S. Johnston became the XIII bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia on October 1, 2009. His priorities for mission and ministry in the Diocese include youth and young adult ministry; strengthening our congregations; mission beyond ourselves; evangelism and proclamation; and multicultural and ethnic ministries.
